The Ministry excludes the following specific Emiratised professions from the Emiratisation percentage:

  • Government relations officer
  • Occupational health and safety officer
  • Data entry officer

Terms and Conditions for work permits as per the following rules:

Each of the following two cases is calculated as a one Emirati employe:

  • Every work permit for one of the following categories is calculated as 2 Emirati employees
  • In case of giving permission for training two Emirati citizen within the National Graduates Training Programme that is organized by the Ministry
  • Every work permit for an Emirati employee salaried at AED 30,000 or more, is calculated as 3 Emirati employees
  • An Emirati female, in areas of high unemployment
  • A person with disability
  • An Emirati citizen salaried at AED 15,000 to AED 30,000
  • In case of the issuing work permit for an Emirati citizen who is not included in the categories listed below

The adjusted inclusions must only take one criterion into consideration if more than one criterion applies to an Emirati employee; in which case the selected criterion will be the one most advantageous to the establishment.

Terms and Conditions

The Ministry shall review the Emiratisation percentages shown in the table below, at least every six months, to issue the appropriate decision in accordance with the Emiratisation results achieved:
