launching innovation program in labor market governance 2016

In the course of technical cooperation with the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE) has started the implementation of a program that supports and develops the labour market governance mechanisms.

The implementation of such programs came in line with strengthening the relationship with the ILO and building on its expertise to enable the MOHRE to effect a unique transition in labour market governance, support its efforts towards elevating the market output, protect workers’ rights, and secure the interests of employers; all for the purpose of solidifying our national competitive knowledge-based economy where citizens take their places in leading position throughout economic sectors.

The program comprises of three axes that cover developing information and statistics systems for the labour market, developing labour and vocational health and safety inspection systems and policies, and developing preemptive and settlement mechanisms for settling individual labour disputes.
