The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has recently organized a number of awareness initiatives and field visits to promote and disseminate the culture of occupational safety and health, with the participation of hundreds of workers in their workplaces, as part of the celebration of the World Day for Occupational Safety and Health.

“The Ministry seeks to disseminate the cultural awareness of the requirements and criteria for health and safety to ensure the workers’ health and safety in the workplace by implementing a number of awareness quality initiatives that target both employers and workers, as well as other members of the society, which ensures a stable working environment,” said Ibrahim Al Ammari, Director of the MOHRE Health and Safety Department.

He pointed out that as part of the Ministry’s celebrations of the World Day for Occupational Safety and Health, a number of events have been organized, including a workshop to discuss the draft national policy for occupational health and safety, in cooperation with nine strategic Ministry partners from the both federal and local governments, and with the participation of 18 representatives of the concerned parties.
