The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) concluded the ‘UAE Innovation Month’ by honoring the winners of the innovation competitions during a ceremony held recently in the MOHRE office in Dubai. The ceremony was attended by Saif Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary for Human Resources Affairs at MOHRE, and a number of MOHRE officials and employees.

Innovation has become an approach and a policy not only for the MOHRE and its staff but also for its customers and partners, Ayyoub Almarzooqi, Chief Innovation Officer at MOHRE, said in his speech, noting that many qualitative innovative activities were carried out in the MOHRE-affiliated customer happiness centers across the UAE with the participation of a number of concerned entities.

The innovative activities that were launched throughout February were based in terms of their idea and implementation mechanisms on the fundamental goal of creating an environment that would stimulate creative thinking and reaching innovative solutions that would enhance the UAE competitiveness and find effective solutions to future challenges, he added.

Stressing that the wheel of innovation in the MOHRE would not stop at this point, Almarzooqi said the innovation council would be engaged in the next stage in promoting and enabling the implementation of innovative ideas that had already been launched. The council, in collaboration with partners, would also launch and develop new ideas in line with the relevant standards and regulations and the MOHRE’s relevant goals, he added.

Meanwhile, the MOHRE signed two separate memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the Emirates Intellectual Property Association and Ajman X on the sidelines of the ceremony. The two MoUs were aimed at exchanging expertise, learning about the best innovative practices, designing and carrying out a range of innovative activities and holding panel discussions and knowledge panels to develop work system, intellectual property and innovation.
