Human Resources & Emiratization unveils projects, initiatives during UAE Innovation Month

The Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization (MoHRE) has launched a series of innovative initiatives and projects during the UAE Innovation Month, which celebrates innovation and innovators in the country.

The Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization (MoHRE) has launched a series of innovative initiatives and projects during the UAE Innovation Month, which celebrates innovation and innovators in the country.

Ahmed Al Nasser, CEO of Innovation Board at MoHRE, said that the Ministry is celebrating this month by launching a number of projects and initiatives that aim to promote innovation culture. The move comes in-line with directives from His Excellency Nasser bin Thani Al Hameli, UAE Minister of Human Resources & Emiratization, to ensure the sustainability of innovative thinking amongst the Ministry’s employees and customers.

He explained that planned activities will see the participation of Ministry staff and customers, and are held in collaboration with public and private partners, with involvement from university and school students.

Al Nasser added that the Ministry will hold its innovation activities in different emirates across the country, in order to reach the largest possible number of target audiences and participants, thereby enhancing the innovative practices of all segments of the society and contributing to the development of innovative capabilities and competencies.

He said that the Ministry will launch during the month of February its “Ibtikar” (innovation) bus, which will travel all over the UAE to hold innovation labs, training courses and workshops to spread the culture of innovation. The bus will target Ministry employees in during the first phase, followed by MoHRE customers during its second phase.

The Ministry will also launch the phase two of its “Profession in an Hour” program, which aims to provide Emirati students with real-life and virtual experiences in three different positions in the private sector. The program aims to raise students’ awareness about the importance of the private sector for Emiratis, and how it helps achieve national Emiratization goals, which the Ministry places emphasis on, Al Nasser added.

The Ministry will also organize its Tawteen 360 Forum in Fujairah.  With participation of nearly 3,000 Emirati university and school students, the event will educate them about the benefits of working in the private sector, he explained.

In addition, the Ministry will also implement a number of other innovative projects during the UAE Innovation Month, including the innovation lab, future professions, Legal Researcher app, “Raka’ez Forum”, and innovation lounges in its customer happiness centers.

The Ministry is also launching a talent bank, a communication platform and smart maps, as well as a virtual reception initiative and start offering Tawseel delivery service at the Global Village in Dubai.
