His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attended the graduation ceremony of the second and third cohorts from the Executive Leadership Programme, which saw the participation of 31 employees of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE).
Held at the Ministry’s Dubai headquarters, the event was attended by MoHRE senior officials and representatives of all entities that played a part in implementing the programme. These included the Federal Authority for Identity, Customs, and Port Security; Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Community Empowerment; Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and Banque Misr.
The Executive Leadership Programme aims to enhance the management and leadership skills of executives in the public and private sectors. It focuses on enhancing strategic capabilities, problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, effective leadership, and change management. It also strives to train leaders capable of anticipating trends and spearheading institutional reform.
Furthermore, the programme emphasises the importance of developing strategic thinking and the ability to analyse the surrounding environment, in order to make decisions that help achieve strategic objectives. The programme is built on the premise that leaders play a key role in shaping organisational culture, and that this culture directly affects employees’ behaviour, which, in turn, contributes to the achievement of desired outcomes.
Covering a period of three months, the programme consisted of nine training modules and three site visits, where participants learned strategy development and policy-making skills, particularly for issues that align with government objectives. They also acquired valuable tools for driving institutional culture and building high-performance teams.
The Executive Leadership Programme featured training courses focusing on leadership thinking, shaping institutional culture, and guiding team behaviour.
