His Excellency Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), said, “3390 contracts were signed by male and female citizens to work for companies operating in the financial, banking, insurance, retail and tourism sectors. This comes as part of the Qualitative Emiratisation Acceleration Initiative in the mentioned sectors, which was implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the governmental federal as well as local bodies and the free zones running those sectors.

“Cooperation between the Ministry and its partners in implementing the Qualitative Emiratisation Acceleration Initiative in the targeted economic sectors has flawlessly reflected the national and societal responsibility of Emiratisation, which receives both the attention and follow-up of our wise leadership. This spurs us on and challenges us to be up to expectations, enabling us to achieve the Emiratization objectives of the national agenda,” he pointed out.

This came as part of a ceremony organized today, Sunday, by MOHRE in Dubai, where companies of the financial, banking, insurance, retail and tourism sectors were honored at the closure of the Qualitative Emiratisation Acceleration Initiative in those sectors.

In his speech at the ceremony, Al Hamli praised the cooperation between the Ministry and its partners, which produced thousands of job opportunities in the economic sectors targeted because of their strategic and vital importance. Those sectors are major contributors to the national economy and can jobs that match the aspirations of the national human resources in terms of the employment stability and professional development, especially with the presence of the national examples who functioned efficiently and exceptionally within these sectors.

He also expressed his appreciation of the significant involvement of the companies operating in the financial, banking, insurance, retail and tourism sectors, as well as their cooperation with the Ministry during the open recruitment days organized previously for attracting male and female citizens to get new jobs, as part of the Qualitative Emiratisation Acceleration Initiative in these sectors.

“the financial, banking and insurance sectors are key and major recruiting sectors, due to the working environment and privileges they provide, which would attract job seekers,” he added, while praising the efforts of the Human Resource Development Committee in Banking and Financial Sector. They strengthen the citizens’ participation in these vital sectors, where plenty of appropriate jobs are available.

He pointed out that the Qualitative Emiratisation Acceleration Initiative in the mentioned sectors is likely to provide proper support for the institutions and companies operating within those sectors to achieve the required Emiratization ratios, in accordance with the Points System.

“One of the sectors that foster a national diversified economy, the retail sector has witnessed a significant growth, according to studies and reports that expect this sector to have unprecedented growth rates during the upcoming years. This would create many job opportunities that require an ongoing partnership between the Ministry and the parties running the sector as well as the companies operating within it in order to employ more citizens in the new jobs,” he said.

He pointed out, “the tourism sector has been growing steadily; it is a promising sector that provides job opportunities in a variety of disciplines. On the other hand, there are large numbers of citizens who prefer to work in that vital sector, which has urged the Ministry to have entered into an MOU with the HTMi Switzerland Dubai a while ago to support the national human resources to work in the tourism, hospitality and hotel industry.”
