Uzbekistan praises system of outsourcing MOHRE’s services to private sector

The Uzbek Ministry of Labor has praised the system of outsourcing the services of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) to the private sector and the role of its centers in protecting labor rights with a particular focus on its TWAFOUQ and TADBEER service centers, which are run by the private sector in partnership with and under the supervision of the MOHRE.

This was announced during the Uzbekistan-UAE Business Forum, which was held recently in Abu Dhabi in the presence of HE Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and HE Erkin Muhitdinov, Uzbek First Deputy Minister of Labor. Representatives of more than 100 recruitment agencies in the two friendly countries and a number of employers participated in the forum.

The forum is the second of its kind, the first being held in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, in last May as part of a plan to activate the partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan in labor areas in implementation of the protocol of co-operation signed by the governments of the two countries.

In his inaugural speech, Al Hamli stressed the UAE’s keenness on building and strengthening its partnership with Uzbekistan in labor areas. He underlined the importance of the Uzbekistan-UAE Business Forum for developing this partnership and the bilateral co-operation between the two countries.

“The UAE government has adopted an economic model based on encouraging entrepreneurship, ease of doing business and innovation. This helped the UAE labor market recover, created more job opportunities and led to higher demand for skilled cadres, particularly in technical jobs, which need specialized skills. As the Expo 2020 Dubai is approaching, the demand for skilful cadres will be on the increase”, Al Hamli said.

Meanwhile, Muhitdinov highlighted the development of partnership and co-operation between the two friendly countries in labor areas for the benefit of the common development interests, particularly through the forum.

He praised the UAE’s leading role in launching and implementing the initiatives related to labor issues as well as its bid to rely on innovation and ambitious long-term development plans and policies.

He also talked about his country’s interest in making use of such models as TADBEER and TWAFOUQ service centers, which constitute an advanced and pioneering initiative for providing excellent services to all categories of labor and protecting their rights.

TADBEER service centers provide all services related to domestic workers, while TWAFOUQ service centers are concerned with tackling labor disputes and trying to settle them amicably; otherwise, they will be referred to the competent courts of law.

Sessions and workshops were held during the forum and attended by representatives of recruitment agencies from the two countries. These sessions and workshops threw light on the job opportunities available in the UAE and discussed mechanisms of co-operation and co-ordination among recruitment agencies.
