This came during bilateral meetings held by HE Nasser Bin Thani Al Hameli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, with HE Ahmed Al Rajhi, Saudi Minister of Labor and Social Development, HE Mariam Al Aqeel, Kuwaiti Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Chairman of the Arab Labor Organization, HE Sheikh Abdullah Al Bakri, Omani Minister of Manpower, HE Jameel Humaidan, Bahraini Labor and Social Development Minister, and HE Mohamed Safan, Egyptian Minister of Manpower, on the sidelines of the 46th edition of the Arab Labor Conference held in Cairo with the participation of the UAE delegation.

During these meetings, Al Hameli discussed with GCC ministers ways to co-ordinate GCC positions towards labor issues at the regional and international levels in such a manner that would enhance co-operation among GCC countries.

The meetings stressed the importance of exchanging the best experiences and know-how in the areas of Emiratisation and the policies and programs for recruiting, training and empowering national human resources to take up the jobs provided by all economic sectors.

The meetings also dealt with GCC experiences in managing labor markets and organizing and regulating the temporary contractual work cycle with a view to enhancing the common developmental benefits of the sending and receiving countries.

Meanwhile, Al Hameli and Safan reviewed the prospects of co-operation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of labor.

The two sides stressed the deep the historical relations between the two countries and their keenness to develop them, particularly in relation to labor issues.

The meeting discussed the agenda of the 46th edition of the Arab Labor Conference, which is hosted by Egypt.
