MOHRE Wins the e-Government Excellence Award for the e-Communication Project

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has won the Arab e-Government Excellence Award in 2018, which is granted by the Pan Arab Excellence Awards Academy for the e-communication project.

In a ceremony held in Cairo recently, HE Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary for Human Resources at MOHRE, and Mohammed Saqr Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, received the Award. Senior officials and representatives from a number of Arab government bodies attended the ceremony.

 

"This Award in line with the Ministry's plans to promote using modern technology and smartphone applications according to the instructions of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, to move towards smart government," said Al Suwaidi. "Such instructions are now included within the Ministry's strategy, which aims to ensure providing excellent administrative services according to the proper standards of quality, efficiency, and transparency, and anchoring innovation in government work."

 

Al Suwaidi clarified that the project is one of the innovative projects, implemented by the Ministry in 2017, in order to improve productivity and efficiency, and support the staff by using smart tablets according to a flexible working hours system to enable them to complete their work duties anywhere.

 

Al Suwaidi added that the project would make the Ministry's staff and customers happier and would focus on providing various services 24/7 with excellent quality.

 

He pointed out that the e-communication project contributed effectively in reaching new heights in realizing the Ministry's standards, which seek to promote accuracy and efficiency and reduce operational cost by half.

 

 

The most important advantages of the e-communication project is linking it with the Ministry's standards and using it to measure staff and management performance, and percentage of transactions completed within the specified time. As a result, transactions are being completed ahead of schedule out of ease of processing and the great number of completed applications; which helped in providing a stimulating and positive work environment for the staff.
