“Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation” Organizes a Forum on the International Law Day

Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) organized today (Wednesday) the “International Law Day” Forum in celebration of this global occasion, which corresponds to the 13th of September each year.

The forum, held in Dubai, included a special session conducted by Mohammed Mubarak, Director of Legal affairs Department in MOHRE. The session reviewed three legal working papers. The first paper was presented by Colonel Dr. Sultan Al Jamal, Director of Human Trafficking Control Department at Dubai Police. The paper was on the Dubai Police’s strategy in the area of human rights and its procedures that promote and ensure the existence of a law environment and justice practices in the society as well as regulating the conduct of its institutions and individuals.

The second paper was presented by Rasha Essam Salah, AN expert on international relations and organization at MOHRE. The paper discussed the strategic objectives of an organization, in addition to the topics related to the international labor standards, besides reviewing the stages of adopting the international labor agreements and recommendations as well as the UAE’s position in respect to the international labor standards.

On her part, Eman Younis Al Rifai, the lawyer in the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Board, referred in the third paper to the significant importance given to woman by the United Arab Emirates' Constitution. As the Constitution emphasizes and maximizes women civil rights, in addition to the package of safeguards approved by the UAE’s Labor Law, besides the rights of the Emirati woman in the Personal Status Law.

The forum featured a video presentation on the achievements of the Legal affairs Department in MOHRE, and a sand art show by the artist Shyma Al-mughairy.

The forum events included honoring MOHRE’s partners, namely, the Supreme Federal Court, Office of the Attorney-General, Dubai Public Prosecution, and Labor Court in addition to honoring State Lawsuits Authority, the Judicial Training and Studies Institute in the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Board, General Department for Human Rights and Government Communication Department in Dubai Police, as well as honoring a number of Organizational units in the Ministry.

The presenters of the three working papers were honored, in addition to honoring the top law officers in the Ministry, namely; Hamad Abdullah Salem Hussein, Ahmed Darwish Ahmed Omran, Abdullah Mohammed Suleiman Mohammed, Hassan Darwish Mohammed Saleh, and Salah Asad Abdullah Abdul Rahman.

The designers and executors of the logo of the Ministry’s Legal Affairs Department were honored, namely Mohammed Jassim Gold and Hamda Ahmed Mubarak Al Hammadi in addition to the winners in the International Law Day’s awareness competition, namely; Mona Mohammed Ali Issa, Mohammed Salem Al Rumaithi, Huda Matar Salem, and Aisha Ali Obaid Al Muhairi.
