MOHRE signs two MoUs to support ‘Absher’ Program

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises (Dubai SME) and the Emirates NBD Bank to bolster mutual co-operation in ‘Absher’ program. The MoUs were concluded by the MOHRE during its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2019.

The MoUs were signed for MOHRE by Mohammed Saqr Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, and Farida Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary of National Human Resources Employment, for the Emirates NBD Bank by Hesham Al Qassim, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, and for Dubai SME by Abdul Basit Al Janahi, Executive Director.

Through the ‘Absher’ program, more than 800 exclusive offers and discounts are provided to the Emiratis working in the private sector by government and private partners.

Signing the two MoUs comes as part of the MOHRE’s keenness to expand the base of ‘Absher’ partners with a view to increasing the unique exclusive privileges of the Emiratis working in the private sector and motivating more national human resources to join private sector establishments, Al Ali said.

The MoU signed with Dubai SME is aimed at encouraging its registered entrepreneurs to register in the ‘Absher’ program as supporting companies for providing special and exclusive offers and benefits to the Emiratis working in the private sector, she said.

The MOHRE will work jointly with Dubai SME to provide the necessary facilities and information aimed at facilitating the registration of the Dubai SME members in the ‘Absher’ program, providing appropriate publicity to them and giving them priority in responding to their related needs, she added.

On the other hand, the MoU signed with the Emirates NBD Bank is aimed at boosting mutual co-operation in terms of promoting the services and benefits provided by each party to its respective customers through the MOHRE’s ‘Absher’ program and the Emirates NBD Bank’s Liv platform, she said, adding that this would further enhance the MOHRE’s efforts to support and empower the Emiratis working in the private sector.

The MOHRE offers the ‘Absher’ app to the Emiratis working in the private sector who can benefit from the advantages offered by the card when presented to the program’s partners.

Through its website and ‘Absher’ smart app available on App Store and Google Play Store, the MOHRE also provides an updated list of the program partners and all their exclusive offers for the Emirati cardholders.
