Al Awar explores innovations at the Saint Kitts and Nevis pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, visited the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai accompanied by Elsa Wilkin-Armbrister, Commissioner General of the Pavilion and Minister-Counselor at the Saint Kitts and Nevis High Commission in London.
During the visit, His Excellency explored a number of exhibits and images depicting the history of the two islands and the transformation of their economies from agriculture to tourism, hospitality and financial services, as well as the accompanying transformation of trains that transported sugar cane from farms to factories into tourist trains that carry tourists and visitors to the two islands on extraordinary tours of the scenic landscapes that characterize the regions of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
He was also informed about the unique innovations and human experiences based on a rich cultural and civilizational heritage that thrives in the beauty and picturesque nature of the union of the two islands.
The pavilion showcases the country's efforts to become a sustainable and environmentally friendly destination, as well as its efforts to reduce fossil fuel consumption by shifting its policies, investments and legislation to alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power.
