1800 Emiratis Employed in the Private Sector

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced that about 1800 male and female citizens have received job opportunities in the private sector, as part of two separate initiatives that aimed at accelerating Emiratisation in Al Dhafra area of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as accelerating the employment of nationals who have completed their national service.

The initiative to accelerate Emiratization in Al Dhafra was in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with a view to create at least 10,000 job opportunities for citizens in the private and government sectors, so as to achieve the objectives of Abu Dhabi Developmental Accelerators Program (Tomorrow 21), while the initiative to accelerate the employment of those who completed their national services was implemented by the Ministry in cooperation and partnership with the National Service and Reserve Authority.

His Excellency Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, announced the closing of both initiatives during two separate events that were recently organized in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the Ministry's leaders and representatives of its partners in both initiatives.

His Excellency praised the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, to accelerate the Emiratisation initiative in the region.

He stressed that “the results achieved by both initiatives were the culmination of the partnership and joint efforts exerted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation with its partners, on top of which is the National Service and Reserve Authority and the Job Opportunities Committee, formed by the Executive Committee of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as the private sector as a strategic partner in the Emiratization file.

"This partnership underscores the keenness to integrate roles between the public and private sectors and the commitment to assume the national and community responsibilities required by Emiratisation, as supported and guided by the wise leadership."

His Excellency praised the companies and institutions that interacted with both initiatives through their participation in the employment open days that were organized over the elapsed period, which witnessed the presentation of vacancies at these companies and conducting job interviews with citizens in Al Dhafra region who completed their national services. Such activities resulted in the employment of about 1800 male and female citizens in the private sector".

His Excellency Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli congratulated the citizens who obtained these job opportunities and called on them to prove their efficiency and career excellence.

He also emphasized the Ministry's keenness to enhance the employment opportunities for the citizens who participated in the open days of employment yet failed in their interviews to attain job opportunities, by enrolling them in "Tamkeen" program implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the Higher Colleges of Technology with a view to train and qualify such citizens and provide them with the necessary support to get jobs.

He also affirmed that the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with its strategic partners, is accelerating Emiratization in the targeted economic sectors.
