Al Awar visits ASEAN and Cape Verde pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, was briefed on the economic and development integration of Southeast Asian countries "ASEAN" during his visit to their pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Accompanied by Romeo Abad Arca, Deputy Commissioner General of the pavilion, His Excellency was introduced to the unique economic, social and human diversity of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which includes 10 countries, namely Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
The ASEAN Pavilion is located in the mobility district of EXPO2020 and showcases examples of the rich and extraordinary culture of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar also visited the pavilion of the State of Cape Verde, an archipelago of 10 islands 500 km off the West African coast known for its picturesque nature and vibrant cultural blend of European and African traditions.
His Excellency, accompanied by Lohina Desa, director of the pavilion, was briefed on the strategic importance of Cape Verde's geographic location. Located on the western edge of the African continent, the country has for centuries held an important position as a link and stopover for ships crossing the Atlantic.
