Al Awar visits the pavilions of Croatia and Bolivia at Expo 2020 Dubai

His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, visited Croatia's pavilion in the Mobility District of Expo 2020 Dubai, which combines its history, civilization and geographical nature.

Accompanied by Jasmin Devlic, Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and Director of the Croatian Pavilion EXPO 2020 Dubai, His Excellency was briefed on the history and development of Croatia and the early inventors and scientists throughout history, most notably Nikola Tesla, who contributed to the establishment of the first telephone exchange in Budapest, Hungary, and produced many innovations, most notably the use of alternating electric current in hydroelectric power plants, along with Croatian Faust France, who contributed to the invention of the jumping parachute and experimented with it in 1617, and the first inventor of the ballpoint pen and other Croatian scientists and inventors.

His Excellency learned about Croatian cities through the screens, including the city of "Šibenik", the first city in the world whose streets are powered by a polyphase alternating current system.

During the visit, His Excellency was informed about the more than a thousand islands that stretch along the coasts of Croatia, as well as the historical castles that overlap with nature in their shape and are covered with greenery in all their aspects, which include more than a thousand castles.

 

 His Excellency also visited Bolivia pavilion at EXPO2020, where he was received by Raquel Orozco, Commissioner General of the Pavilion. She informed His Excellency about the various investment and development opportunities that characterize the country, especially in gas and oil, investment opportunities in lithium and other renewable energies, as well as its future plans to expand the development of its agricultural exports, in addition to Bolivia's cultural and ecosystem diversity.
