Human Resources & Emiratization awards innovation

The Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization (MoHRE), crowned winners of its third innovation award in a ceremony held at the Ministry’s Diwan in Dubai on Sunday.

The event was attended by a number of MoHRE officials including Noura Al Marzouqi, Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Strategy, Mohammed Saqr Al Numai, Assistant Undersecretary of Support Services, Faridah Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary for Recruitment of National Human Resources, and Ahmad Al Nasser, CEO of Innovation, along with a number of other Ministry officials.

 Al Marzouqi explained that the award comes in line with the UAE government ‘s goal of nurturing innovation culture, adding that competition does not only target Ministry employees, but also involves students and strategic partners.

She explained that big support given by His Excellency Nasser bin Thani Al Hameli, UAE Minister of Human Resources & Emiratization, has played a significant role in enabling innovation and creativity amongst the award’s target audience. It has also helped in developing services in accordance with the UAE Vision 2021.

Al Marzouqi highlighted that the award aims to create an environment that promotes creative thinking processes to find solutions for the Ministry’s most pressing issues. It also supports the Ministry’s innovation strategy, which aims to nurture innovators in the country.

She added that MoHRE looks to further develop the award in its upcoming editions, due to the important role it plays in developing the Ministry’s services and operations, in addition to establishing new systems and policies, as well as initiating new concepts for applications and smart services.

The Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Strategy, stressed the key role played by the Ministry’s innovation board in ensuring the Award’s success. She also lauded the level and quality of participation the award has witnessed, which further contributed to the success of target innovation programs.

MoHRE employee, Ismael Abdoul Bel Housh secured first place in the innovative employee category, while Mona Obaid Al Dhaheri and Mohammed Ali Hussain, landed second and third places, respectively.

In the innovative customer category, Al Nukhba Businessmen Service Center came in first place, while the top position in the strategic partner category went to Dubai Courts’ Jamal Al Jaberi, president of the labor court, for the ‘Remote Litigation’ initiative.

The e-services management team won top spot in innovative projects, and second place was awarded to the work relations management team. In the apps and smart services class, Badr Karam Abdulla won the first place, while Jawaher Ali Al Bloushi came in second.

In the increasing usage of MoHRE app category, Fatima Abdulla Al Kaabi was awarded top position, while the award for best marketing for smart applications was given to the Fujairah customer happiness center.

In addition, the Ministry recognized a number of employees in the “Book and Concept” category, namely kamal Al Ali, Dr. Sherin Ahmed, Yasmin Aaref, Hoda Ali Al Badi, and Amina Ali Salem. It also recognized 74 employees who took part in the ‘Ibtakir’ (innovate) platform.

The award ceremony also saw the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU). The first was signed between the Ministry and the Private Sector Youth Council (PSYC), to exchange expertise and views in best practice. The second MoU was signed with Black & White Computers Trading Company, to collaborate on executing joint innovative initiatives and projects.

MoUs were signed by Ahmed Al Nasser, CEO of Innovation at MoHRE, Abdullah Rashid Jassem Al Abdouli, Chairman of PSYC, and Saad Farouq, General Manager of Black & White.

The PSYC agreement aims at organizing joint activities in innovation, in addition to sharing relevant best practice and expertise. It also aims at organizing a discussion panels to develop work systems and innovation.

Meanwhile, the MoU signed with Black & White aims at improving communications with business owners and workers in terms of relevant innovative initiatives.
