MoHRE calls on businesses operating in 5 activities to require PCR tests every 14 days for unvaccinated workers

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has called on establishments, companies, and institutions operating in 5 activities to require their unvaccinated workers to take PCR tests every 14 days, effective as of March 28.

Activities include hotels, restaurants, transportation, and health, as well as social and personal activities for laundries, beauty salons, and hairdressers.

The decision came in a circular issued by His Excellency Nasser bin Thani Al Hameli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, on the procedures for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in coordination with the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, driven by the highest commitment to implementing the measures to address the pandemic and provide all health guarantees for workers as well as ensuring the speedy recovery from the repercussions of this pandemic.

The circular called on all private sector establishments, companies, and institutions to urge their workers to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and to organize and facilitate what is necessary for this in coordination with the competent authorities in the country, and to ensure workers get the two doses of the vaccine as early as possible.

Al Hameli stressed that any worker infected with COVID-19 (a positive result of his test) must follow the approved treatment and isolation methods approved by the competent health authorities.
