Al Hamili: National youth leaders in the private sector proved its success and is a source of pride worldwide

Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation H.E. Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli stressed that “preparing young national leaders to lead the competitive knowledge economy is a national priority which receives the care and follow-up of the wise leadership which provides great support to the youth of the country to enable them to take part in the development process and build the promising future of the country."

He added: “preserving the national achievements achieved and strengthened requires young Emirati leaders in various economic sectors, which is the strategic aim that the Ministry of National Human Resources seeks to achieve in partnership and cooperation with the governmental entities regulating these sectors and relevant private institutions through implementing a set of policies, programs, and innovative initiatives. "

His Excellency said: “Young people have many capabilities to lead the economic sectors and occupy various positions and jobs in the private sector. This is a strategic option employing nationals. The UAE youth have proved their excellence in the private sector, and we stand tall in the world for their achievements."

This came during his participation in a youth session organized by the Private Sector Youth Council (PSYC) at Expo Center Sharjah entitled (The importance of enhancing the role and participation of national leaders in the private sector). The session was attended by Mona Waleed, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Dr. Yasir Al-Naqbi, Assistant Director-General for Government Leadership and Capacity at the Prime Minister's Office and Council members of the UAE Government Leaders Program.

The organization of the youth session is part of a series of seminars organized by PSYC, whose members include 18 citizens from the private sector and semi-governmental organizations. PSYC operates under the umbrella of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

H.E. Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli congratulated young members of the council for joining the UAE Government Leadership Program. Since its inception under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the program has been a remarkable success in developing and preparing national talent as distinguished leaders."

The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and Future, represented by the UAE Government Leaders Program and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation signed a Memorandum of Understanding a while ago to develop national leaders by allocating a percentage of the seats of each category of the program to the employees of the private sector to support the citizens working in the private sector, provide opportunities for development and open channels of communication between them and government employees. It aims to promote outstanding government practices and their applications and to apply them in private sector institutions and to benefit from the experiences and practices of this sector in government work.

H.E. Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, during the session, called on nationals working in the private sector to join the UAE Government Leadership Program to best use the program to enhance their capabilities. This enables them to form an effective nucleus to lead the private sector in its various institutions.

He stressed the ministry's keenness to engage regularly in youth sessions organized by the Private Sector Youth Council and to provide support to the council to enable it to achieve its objectives, especially in terms of participation in policy development aimed at promoting the process of Emiratisation in the private sector.

The youth session, facilitated by Hashim Al Zaabi, member of the Private Sector Youth Council, discussed 'the best mechanisms and methodologies by which the role of national leaders can be strengthened and their participation in the private sector expanded.'

Participants affirmed that "Joining the UAE Government Leadership Program gives them a great opportunity to enhance their skills and experience through various training and qualification programs that enable them to achieve the requirements of effective leadership while sparing no effort to ensure their success in taking part in the program and achieving desired targets.
