The First of Muharram is Announced a Holiday for the Private Sector on the Occasion of the Hijiri New Year

The first of Muharram, Hijiri 1441, is announced as an official paid holiday for the all workers in the private sector’s establishments, institutions and companies in the UAE on the occasion of the Hijiri New Year; coinciding with the Gregorian calendar.

The announcement was stated in a circular announced by His Excellency Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), in execution of a decision issued by the Cabinet of Ministers in this regard.

His Excellency Al Hamli, extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes, on this occasion, to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their fellow Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

His Excellency congratulated the UAE’s government, citizens and residents on this occasion, wishing our country further progress and prosperity and more pride and glory for the Arab and Islamic nations.
