Major firms to enrol Emiratis for data entry positions starting 2017

Abu Dhabi - July 20th, 2016 Companies registered with Tas’heel's online services and employs over 1000 workers will be required to hire Emitari citizens for the ‘Data Entry’ positions starting 2017, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced.

H.E Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, said that any violations shall cost the company additional work permits.

“This new decree aims to provide job opportunities for our citizens, something which aids the ongoing private sector Emiratisation process; hence the ministry’s recent name change,” he said.

Ghobash added, “Emirati successes in that particular  field have been noticed over the past years, therefore, we've decided to localize Data Entry positions across major companies, a step we believe shall return with many positive outcomes.”

It’s worth mentioning that around 1000 citizens are filling positions across 44 Tas’heel service centres across the UAE; such centres are considered part of the private sector yet supervised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Ghobash explained the ministry’s readiness in providing a list of qualified Emirati cadres for filling Data Entry positions across major companies. There are 375 major companies that employ over 1000 workers according to the ministry’s database.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation allows companies registered in ‘eNetwasal’ online services, which is available at (www.moher.gov.ae), to use Tas’heel related services online without the need to visit the centre.
