“Our celebration today of the Flag Day embodies one of the most splendid images of national cohesion and rallying around the wise leadership represented by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah preserve him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may Allah protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, said H.E. Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

“This occasion and other events strengthen all the meanings instilled in the hearts of Emiratis by the founding father the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy upon him, including loyalty and belonging to our dear country, which has become a global model in terms of progress, development, tolerance, acceptance of others’ views and coexistence among all cultures of the world on this good land,” he said.

“While this year’s Flag Day celebration comes amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we in the UAE are confident of our ability to steadily move towards achieving our aspirations for our country to be highly distinguished and our flag to fly high under our wise leadership, from which we derive determination and insistence to achieve what we aim for,” he added.
