Based on the keenness of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to involve the public in developing and improving its services and policies, topics are periodically raised on the website sharik.ae

Confirmation of the establishments' commitment to the wage protection system

Description

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation launched an innovative electronic system, through which companies can pay the wages of its workers through the financial exchange companies that provide the service. This program was successfully developed by the Central Bank using a technology that allows the ministry to establish a database of information on wage payments for workers in the private sector and the extent of the operating establishments' commitment to pay wages in the agreed time and amount. The Wages Protection System (WPS) covers all establishments registered with the Ministry in various sectors and activities, and all segments and categories of workers benefit from the system.

The system allows the opportunity to report any complaint related to salaries/wage payment in the private sector. Workers and employees can communicate with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and submit a labour complaint to the Ministry in this regard.

The ministry calls on private sector establishments to commit to paying their workers' wages through the "wage protection system" on the scheduled dates, and sends a comprehensive interactive report to employers via  e-mail to inform them proactively of the facility's status in the ministry's records, ensuring that they receive first-hand data and information related to the files of their establishments and the status of their workers, as ensuring the establishments' commitment to pay wages on time would enhance the stability of the contractual relationship between its two parties and contribute greatly to increasing the worker's productivity. Ensuring employees' wages are received at the specified time and amount, building balanced and stable relationships between employers and workers, and supporting the workers' right to receive wages in return for their commitment to perform their job duties, all signify the compliance with legal practices in the country's labour market.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation calls on all employers to register and document any agreement with their employees regarding the change of wages through the approved systems and procedures applied by the Ministry in this regard, and to benefit from the "statement of account" service to view the report that provides them with a comprehensive description of the facility's status on paid wages through the wages protection system, which helps them with the transfer of wages through the system on time

Goal:
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation's call on private sector establishments to commit to paying their employees' wages through the wage protection system in a timely manner, enhancing the stability of the contractual relationship between its two parties and enhancing the productivity of workers.
