We would like to remind you the urgency of reporting work related labour injuries, deaths and diseases according to labour law and ministerial decisions.

Fines for not reporting:

  • Dhs10000 fine for each case
  • Stop the facility

Work injury definition:

A workplace injury is an injury or illness that occurs in relation to an employee's job.

Occupational disease definition:

An occupational disease is a disease or disorder that is caused by the work or working conditions. This means that the disease must have developed due to exposures in the workplace and that the correlation between the exposures and the disease is well known in medical research.

Cases of injuries to be reported

The employer must report injuries that cause the workers absence for minimum three days and within 24 hours after checking the following conditions:

  • Injury is caused during work or because of it.
  • Occurrence of an injury while going to work from home and vice versa.
  • Occurrence of injury during work related transportations away from the main office, which the employer entitled the worker to do.
  • Developing a disease mentioned in the occupational diseases chart in the labour law.
