Domestic worker services starts in Ajman, ministry announce

Domestic worker services began (on Sunday June 18, 2017) at Tas’heel service centres in Ajman, The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced.
The announcement came to prolong the second phase of the initiative across the country, which started by the emirate of Umm Al Quwain on May 21, 2017, following the initial phase, which arose in the Emirate of Dubai end of 2016.
Ayesha Belharfia, Assistant Undersecretary of Domestic Worker Affairs affirmed the centres' readiness to receive customers in Ajman, “Three centres will offer domestic worker services through 10 dedicated counters to ensure meeting the UAE Government Excellence Program set standards.”
“In coordination with the Ministry of the Interior we seek a complete transfer of the domestic workers' file to the ministry and thus provide services in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah,” she added.
“We process requests electronically, then, a notification letter shall be sent via SMS or email which the customer has noted, the message will inform the applicant of the current request status.”
“Domestic workers services include the issuance of new entry permit, issue work permits (new residency), and work permit renewal services.”
According to the ministry, domestic workers are those that are employed by households and includes housemaids, cooks, security guards, drivers, gardeners, and shepherds.
