The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation empowered several efforts to support a knowledge-based society which comes in-line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE after declaring 2016 as the year of reading. The ministry has organised several events to promote reading amongst employees and customers, as well as school students in order to enrich their knowledge, develop abilities and enhance their general intelligence.

Additionally, in collaboration with a publishing house, the ministry placed several bookshelves across the customer happiness service centres, where many reflected feedback to read while waiting.

Year of Innovation

Following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to declare 2015 as the ‘Innovation Year’ plus His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai order to launch the National Innovation Strategy which aims to make the UAE among the most innovative nations in the world and contribute to the achieve 2021 visions, The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has adopted several actions to pursue innovation, both among its employees and provided services.

The ministry initiated the innovation web page and laboratory to display all related projects submitted by all participant, and receive further ideas plus provide necessary assistance to register further innovative plans.

Additionally, a smart kiosk has been placed at different locations across UAE to enlighten workers’ about labour laws, in order to ensure the stability of worker/employer relations. The device highlights the ministry’s keenness to implement spreading knowledge as part of its strategic plans to create a stable labour market and create a productive workforce that promotes a competitive knowledge-based economy centralised by UAE citizens.

The ministry has also unveiled the 'future inspections vehicle' that depends on many operational mechanisms of interconnected intelligent systems, the exterior appearance reflects the Ministry's corporate identity, through designs that highlight a futuristic impression as a smart vehicle.
